4th of July

My mom has been in town and it was fun to spend the 4th with her. We went into Lexington and walked around and ate watermelon. Zoie had fun running around and following all the kids. She had a blast. It wasn't what I expected, but that's because I grew up with the 4th being a big deal. But, we did have a lot fun.

We let Zoie stay up way past her bedtime, so we could do sparklers and poppers. She had a blast with the poppers and loved the sparklers, until she burnt her hand. Poor girl. Then some of our neighbors were lighting off fireworks and we stood in the street and watched. Zoie enjoyed them, a lot and got way excited when one went off. Charlotte did too, she didn't even flinch or cry. What a sport. :)
