In honor of "Pi Day" Ryan made a Pumpkin Spice Pie with cool whip, chocolate chips and sprinkled cinnamon on top. I am not a huge fan of pumpkin, but this pie was really good. He did a great job making it. So here is to "Pi Day" . . .

And because I love my little girl here is a picture of her. She can still up perfectly now and its so nice to just set her down and go and do something. We can also put a bow in her hair and it stays fairly well. She is such a cutie pie.

A Taste Of...

RICE CEREAL!!!

Yesterday, we decided it was time to give Zoie a taste of "solids." We gave her some baby rice cereal. She absolutley loved it. At first she didn't know what it was, but once she realized how good it tasted she went to town. We took a video of her eating in the morning and at night, but the night one is much more entertaining. Check out THIS link and see for yourself. She is such a cutie and she always makes us laugh.

Here are some pictures... some are blurry sorry, she was moving a lot.

Temple Trip

Yesterday we went to the Washington D.C. Temple. We just walked around the visitor center and visited with the missionaries and ran into some friends. It was great. At the visitor's center they have an art show displayed and we knew five of the artists that had their art on display. It made me feel really special that I knew those people. Ryan and I have went to class with three of them and been taught by two of them. Their paintings were amazing and beautiful.

I am so grateful we were able to go to the temple. It was something we both really needed to do and it was great to feel the spirit of the Lord. Zoie was happy as can be while we were there and it made me very grateful for having the gospel as such a big part of our family. It brings such happiness and joy into our spirits.

Here is a pictue of us standing in front of Jesus Christ and Zoie playing on the couch.

Teaching One Other

The last couple of weeks Zoie has been "almost" rolling over. She gets to the half way point and then does nothing. So... one of my friends, Erin Talley, called and asked if Zoie came over and saw her daughter Ivy rolling over she may think, "hey I want to do that too." We went over and the two of them played together. It was really fun to watch. Ivy attempted to teach Zoie how to roll over, while Zoie attempted to teach Ivy how to sit up. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. I am sure there will be much more teaching moments between the two of them. (They are about 2 weeks apart from each other).

Everytime we have Zoie sitting up and we have the camera out she automatically turns to the camera and gets all excited!!! Its so cute. When I say smile she brings her hands to lap and gets a smile on her face!! It's so precious!!!!

PICTURES!!!

Here are a few pictures of Zoie and what she has been up too. Hope you all like them :)

Zoie loves to grab her feet and stick them in her mouth! While she does that she tends to lean towards one side or the other and plays but never completely rolls over. Almost thought, in due time it will happen and it will be a bittersweet moment for us :)

We have had a lot of dark, gloomy rainy days lately and its been really cold and no fun at all. We were all in the house one afteroon and just relaxing and staying warm when Ryan decided to put his SVU sweater on Zoie. She looks so cute and small. She absolutely loved it and was making noise and smiling and kicking her little legs like crazy.

One night during Zoie's bath I spiked her hair up a bit, because I can now. Her hair is growing and its lots of fun. We think she is going to have my hair color and Ryan's thickness.

She is such a joy to have in our lives! We can't even begin to explain how lucky we are to have such a sweet, friendly, happy, and spirited little girl as our daughter!!

Family Update

Ryan: This week is Ryan's Spring Break!!! YAY...a break...just what he needs. He is doing good. He has spent the last 3 days reading his new book I got him for our anniversary. He has been waiting a long time to read that book, and it came just in time for spring break. :)

Me: I have been busy working on little projects around the house. I finished Zoie's name for her room and it looks cute. I also took one of our long mirrors and spray painted the frame teal and added some fabric flowers to one of the corners and hung it up in the kitchen. It's so fun transforming our apartment into our home.

Zoie:  She has been doing great. Making noise all the time and just being a happy baby. I absolutely love how happy and friendly she is. That is one of the most compliments given to us by others. Its always "what a happy and friendly little girl you have." I am very grateful that Zoie is the way she is. She is claiming her name and letting her personality shine and I love it.

There is a quick update of whats going on. I would love to post pictures, but for some reason my computer won't let me. When I fix it, there will many pictures to post for you all.

Have a great week and keep on keepin' on!!!

Two Years Ago Today . . .

I married the man of my dreams, the love of my life, my best friend, and my everything!

We have come a long way and have accomplished a lot the past two years. I know that I wouldn't of been able to acheive all that I did and especially go through all of what I did without Ryan by my side, encouraging, supporting, and cheering me on.

Today we had a nice little candle-lite dinner at home. Ryan made fajitas, they were very yummy!!! Then we watched NCIS while we ate Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. Ryan has been wanting some Phish food for a while, so that was part of his gift.

His other gift he has been waiting two years for. A BOOK. He even pre-ordered the book a year in advance, until they changed the date for the second time, so he decided not to get it anymore. His book came out two days ago and I pre-ordered it for him in January and it came today on our anniversary, how convient! Ryan got me a little memory card for my phone, so I have more space for pictures and videos and such. He also got me Mod Podge, which I have been wanting for a while now. I am so excited to get started on all my little craft ideas for the house. Oh... so excited. He is such a great husband!!!

Ryan I love you, Happy Anniversary. I'm looking forward to this year and where our family journey takes us.
