Dinner Fun

Snow Day

It started to snow yesterday afternoon and apparently all through the night and Zoie finally got to wake up to enough snow to play in. She was so excited and couldn't wait to go outside to play. We got all dressed nice and warm as we could then went outside and played.

Zoie loved it and keep running around shouting "Yahoo....yahoo...this is fun..." Charlotte didn't enjoy it so much. She just stood by me watching Zoie, she would smile and laugh every time Zoie would run by. haha....

We had lots of fun. Enjoy the pictures!

Hallway Completed

I completed decorating my hallway today. I think I'm satisfied with how it looks and that makes me happy. Here is my finished hallway. It's one of the first things you see when you walk into our home.

Here is the other wall that has my mirror on it.

Reindeer Dust

Growing up, my parents would give all of us kids reindeer dust to throw out on the grass so Santa and his reindeer's could find our house. I loved doing that and wanted to continue that tradition with my children.

So Christmas Eve night after delivering cookies, the girls got their reindeer dust and went outside and threw it all over the grass to make sure Santa knew the way. I think I had more fun watching the girls throw reindeer dust all over the place than they did throwing it. Despite the freezing cold, we had a blast and I love this family time and creating memories.

Stockings

I've been meaning to make stockings for our family, but just never got around to it. So we got some dollar store stockings and decorated on the 23rd and 24th. We had so much fun with all the buttons, glitter glue, and jewels. Here are our stockings.

Day 5 of Cookies

Day 5: Sugar Cookies. We made a bunch of sugar cookies. All sorts of designs, Christmas trees, Angels, Stars, and Stockings. Then we frosted and the girls went to town with the sprinkles. haha...

When we finished frosting, we loaded up a bunch of plates and went off to deliver them to friends. The girls were so excited and Zoie loved saying "Merry Christmas" to everyone.

It was a great tradition to have started and one I think the girls will love doing every year.

Day 2, 3, and 4 of Cookies

Day 2: Ryan made his Grandma's Walnut Crescents. We didn't get any pictures of them, he said they didn't turn out that good and weren't good enough for pictures, so he ate them all that night. haha...

Day 3: We made Oreo Cookies with red frosting. Zoie mixed the dough the together and rolled out most of the balls all by herself. It was such a fun bonding experience with her.

Day 4: Snickerdoodles. Ryan and Zoie made pink sinckerdoodles. Ryan would roll the dough into a ball and give it to Zoie and she would roll in the cinnamon and sugar and put it on the pan. Another great bonding experience for her. She loves to bake and help out in the kitchen. They had lots of fun together and couldn't wait for the timer to go off and the cookies to cool so they can eat them all up.
