Coffee Table Make-Over

A while back Ryan helped someone in town clean out their house. As he was helping, the lady was going to get rid of this coffee table and Ryan asked if he could take it back home for his wife (hey that's me :)). She said yes.

When he came home he told me he had a surprise for me. He brought the table up and said, got this for you thought you could make use of it, since you're being all crafty and creative. I was so excited and happy that he thought of me.

With that being said, I put my mind and computer to work to figure something out to do with this. I knew I wanted it in the living room, but I didn't want it just to be stained with nothing on it. Then I saw a table from Sawdust and Embryos and got an idea and then went to work.

I sanded the table down, got my friend to do a vinyl print of a dandelion with dandelion's flying away, then placed the vinyl on the table, stained the table, took the vinyl off and lastly poly it up. I love it and it adds a little more character to our living room.

Easter Dinner

We spent Easter as a family this year and it was a lot of fun. We enjoyed going to church and hearing about the Saviors Resurrection! What a blessing the gospel is in our lives.

We came home and while the girls napped, Ryan and I spent the rest of the time making our Easter Dinner. It was fun to cook together. We made an Apple-Raisin Ham, homemade cheesy potatoes, jello, homemade baked beans, homemade rolls, veggies, and fruit, with a homemade Chocolate and White Cheesecake with strawberries on top glazed with a chocolate and strawberry sauce.

It was delicious!!!

"Uh-Oh.... Peanut Butter"

This is a song my parents taught me and sang to me growing up. I'm proud to have passed it on to Zoie. :) She loves it and is trying to teach Charlotte!

"A Peanut sat on a railroad track
His heart was all a flutter,
along came the 515,
Uh-oh Peanut Butter."

Sewing Weekends

The past few weekends I have been sewing like crazy! I've been working on my quilt, almost done, (another post on that), I made our Easter outfits, and have sewed Zoie's summer wardrobe! Her wardrobe consists of wearing skirts, much easier for a little girl who needs to run to the bathroom. :) Anyway here are the finish products!

My Easter Dress

A pink cardigan from a T-shirt

My skirt, it was suppose to be a dress and I didn't like it,
so I turned it into a skirt

Had some extra fabric left and made a skirt for Zoie.

Easter Egg Hunt

Here are some pictures at the towns Easter Egg Hunt. We had a lot of fun. Zoie loved finding the eggs and playing with some friends. Charlotte enjoyed the weather and got a little sun.
