Santa Claus

Saturday we had our Ward Christmas Party. The girls got to meet Santa! Zoie was super excited to sit on Santa's lap and Charlotte seemed excited as well.

Zoie was great and climbed up and sat with Santa and asked him for a Barbie, button bag, and a horse for her Barbie. She then got her candy cane and said thanks.

Charlotte on the other hand, wouldn't leave my arms for a second to go see Santa. She started to freak out. So we only got a picture of Zoie and Santa. Enjoy!

Mirror Make-Over

Do you guys remember my Awesome Yard Sale find a couple months ago? If not check it out HERE. I was so excited to have finished my end table to get started on my mirror. Lately, I have been obsessed with mirrors. I have 3 more big mirrors to make-over and I'm very excited.

All I did with this mirror was prime the wood and then I spray painted it with Krylon's color Jade. I love it and can't wait to get it hanged on the wall.

Here is my BEFORE:

Now here is my AFTER:

Charlotte loves seeing herself in a mirror and she had to be in a picture ;)
I couldn't get her away from it.

Another project done and a few more to get done before baby comes. Hopefully this weather will keep being nice so I can continue painting and feeling accomplished! :)

Front Porch Decor

I love Christmas! This year we are staying home and I've been able to start decorating the house, instead of getting things together and packed up. This morning, I made our Christmas Wreath for our front porch and a week ago I made some presents to stick outside for decor. I love our front porch.

I love how decorating for Christmas gets the girls really excited and happy. It's so fun to see them burst with happiness. The girls wanted to take pictures with everything. They love to take pictures together, especially Charlotte. Every picture she takes she is saying "Cheese" with the biggest smile ever. :)

Zoie really wanted this doormat when she saw it at the store. She wanted Santa to know he can come to her house. :)

Ryan's 27th Birthday

Ryan turned 27 in November. We were so excited to celebrated his birthday and he was excited to receive all his gifts and "Happy Birthday to you's." He spent most of his birthday at work and in class. He loved all his gifts and that weekend took him out on a "fancy" date.

His Angel Food Birthday cake with chocolate frosting. The girls wanted to put sprinkles on and so I let them do that. They loved it. Then there are 2 and 7 candles on separate sides to make "27" haha.... so clever right?

Eating Daddy's cake. They were such a chocolate mess afterwards, but the loved they cake, I think they both ate all the frosting and maybe a few bites of the actual cake itself.

Here is all his birthday gifts!

Kettle Bell

Names of Christ star ornaments

Basket of Goodies

Then I was able to get all dressed up and look fancy to take him out on a date. May be a while before we can do this again. It was a great birthday and the girls loved everything we did. Zoie loved telling Daddy "Happy Birthday" every time she saw him. We love him so much and love celebrating him.

Happy Birthday Ryan!

Frosted Glass End Table

Back in May/June my friend asked me to sand and paint her baby crib white. I told her I'd do it and I got it done a couple weeks ago. It took me a while, between moving, getting pregnant again, coaching volleyball, and such I was limited with time. But I finally got it all done for her a couple weeks ago. I'm so happy. It was a huge relief for me, because I told myself I couldn't do any other project until I got that done.

Since I got that done, I have been going to town on my projects and am super stoked to share them with you. I have a lot to get done before baby boy arrives in a couple months, so to start things off I would like to show you what I did to my end table in our living room.

Our living room is lacking color so I've been adding bits and pieces of color here and there to spruce things up a bit.

I primed the end table white and while that dried I frosted an arrow pattern onto the glass. I love it. Then once the weather wasn't so cold and warm enough to spray paint, I spray painted the end table Ocean Breeze Blue. I love it!!

It match my pillows so well! Oh... it's fun!

I'm going to fix the lamp up at some point, but here it is ready to be used and enjoyed by all.

Meet Martin

For Zoie's birthday Ryan and I got her a Beta Fish. She loves him so much. She would like you to meet her fish, Martin.

She wakes up every morning comes down stairs and says "Good Morning Martin." Then she feeds him and sits there and says "go guy go, go guy go." It's so cute! She loves him so much.

Pumpkin Carving & Glow in the Dark Painting

Monday our FHE activity was carving and painting glow in the dark pumpkins. It was a lot of fun. The girls loved it especially Charlotte. It was so cute to watch them. Charlotte kept painting and laughing and Zoie kept saying this is awesome and so cool and fun! Love my girls.

I got a regular big pumpkin, Zoie picked out a pink pumpkin that Ryan struggled to carve (hahaha...), 3 little pumpkins (one was from our very own pumpkin patch) and a small one Charlotte picked out. It was a memorable night for sure.

Getting ready to make their pumpkins glow in the dark!

See what I mean by struggling to carve to the pumpkin

wanted to help me clean out my pumpkin. She stuck her hand in for one second and freaked out and went back to painting her pumpkin.

Sorry you can't see the girls pumpkins glowing in the dark, so just imagine the coolness of all the neon green, yellow, orange, and pink colors dripping down their pumpkins. :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

D.I.Y Picture Board

This afternoon I got a little crafty and created a board to hang our 16 x 20 family picture. I love it and the best thing is I had everything on hand. I originally wanted to find a good old detailed frame, but couldn't and then I came up with this beauty in our hallway!

Like I said before I had everything on hand and this what I used to create this lovely! :)

Some plywood. I already had this cut from another project and it ended up being
19 x 29 I believe.

Then pick your fabric you want and cut it to the size of your board with an extra inch on each side to fold over onto the back. ( I got this lovely piece of fabric from a fabric swap night with some girl-friends, score!)

Then take your Spray Adhesive and spray the board and place your fabric over and rub the creases out, until nice and smooth. Turn your board over and spray the edge of the board to fold over the fabric onto the back of the board.
*keep in mind spray adhesive is really sticky, be sure to use it outside with something underneath your project. You may also want to wear some disposable vinyl gloves, so you're not scrubbing and scrubbing your fingers off like I did, oops)

And this is what it should look like afterwards. All nice, smooth and tight!

Once you have that all completed take your picture and place it on top, all lined up, then I used thumb tacks and placed them at the corners of my picture and pushed them in. Then hot glued some ribbon on the back to hang it all onto the wall.

Now you have a unique frame board for your family picture or whatever you decide to use it. You can quickly turn it into just a decorated board without a picture.

The uses are endless. :)
