Like Mother, Like Daughter

I guess Charlotte has been watching me too much when I prepare to teach my Body Attack and Body Flow classes. She can hold a perfect plank position! She is just as good as me and can hold it fairly long. Check her out!

Here is a video, so you can see her in action.

This is one of her new strengths and accomplishments, so is scooting backwards. She loves it and gets so excited and when she gets frustrated that she can't reach something, she goes right into plank position. She is going to have some awesome core strength! I see a future fitness instructor! Maybe? Maybe not? We will see. :) Happy 7 Months (yesterday) Miss Charlotte! We all love you very much!

Silk Pajama Party

While I was going through the girls clothes and organizing them all in bins and such, I found a pair of silk pajamas for Zoie. I LOVE silk pajamas and my loving husband got me some for Christmas. So, knowing Zoie had a some and I had some, we definitely had to wear them together and party! We didn't do much except dance around and she slid down my legs a few times. Love our little moments together!

D.I.Y. Twine Baskets

Our little entertainment center was getting crowded with movies and we had to always take them all out to find the one we wanted to watch. It was getting pretty ridiculous!

For some weird reason, I hang on to boxes and that pile was starting to take over my bedroom. I started to think what I can do with them, and then I remember seeing something on the amazing, wonderful website called pinterest. I love it!!

I took my old boxes and cut off the flaps, and then got some twine from Wal-mart and hot glued it onto the boxes. They look pretty good. Much better than spending $15+ for a basket from the store.

Zoie's Frosty

BV finally had a winter! We had a snow storm a couple days ago. Zoie was so excited, because she would be able to make Frosty! Frosty the Snowman is her favorite Christmas show, it's very cute! Saturday, Ryan spent a couple hours with Zoie in the backyard. Guess what they made?!

Yep.... that's right they made Frosty. Check out Zoie's Frosty!!

Charlotte's Growth

I haven't been good a documenting Charlotte's growth on here. So to make up for that I'll just post a bunch of pictures of her the past 6 months.

6 Months

Charlotte is a great baby. She currently weighs 14lbs, just a cute petite girl. She sleeps a lot during the day and I love it. She is now rolling over and sitting up. She loves her big sister and lights up when Zoie enters the room.

She has such delicate features and I can't get enough of them. I absolutely LOVE LOVE her smile and her laugh when she gets going. When she is really excited and upset because no one is paying attention to her, she'll flex her whole body and squeal. It's really cute. Charlotte loves to be paid attention to. She doesn't like to be in a room by herself, unless she is in her jump-a-roo, but sometimes even then.

Charlotte of course loves to eat food. Feeding her baby food has been quite the adventure. She doesn't like green beans and carrots, but you wouldn't know because she'll have quite a few bites, before she is done.

We love her so much! We get excited for each new day to see what little miss Charlotte will discover and learn next.

White Christmas Pt. II

After Christmas Day, we had a huge snow storm. Snow pretty much fell from the sky every second of the day, which resulted in us staying inside all day. Ryan and his brother spent the whole day outside shoveling snow. I could never do that, nor do I have a desire to ever shovel snow all day! Later that evening it finally stopped snowing and we were all able to go outside and play in the snow. Zoie couldn't wait and was so excited. The snow was to soft and fluffy to make a snowman, yet alone a snowball, so we just ran around in and picked up handfuls of snow and threw them on each other.
Here are some pictures of Zoie (we left Charlotte inside, it was too cold for the little girl).

I couldn't resist not putting a picture up of Charlotte, but here she is in her Christmas Sunday outfit minus the red hair bow. I never got one of Zoie or the whole family. Sad day, I know. Isn't she just adorable? I love her to pieces!

White Christmas Pt. 1

We traveled up to Vermont to visit my in-laws for Christmas. It's about a 12-13 hour drive. We left when it was time to put the girls to bed, 7:30pm, so they'd sleep most of the drive. It was great. This year nothing went wrong on our drive up. YAY! We made it to Vermont right before the snow started to get heavy, 6am. We stopped and ate a Denny's. It was delicious. Then made it to my in-laws. They both worked that day, so we were able to unpack a bit, get a load of laundry started, clean the house up a bit, took long naps, and get dinner ready.

Christmas Eve, we finished up some shopping, and went to the Vermont Country Store. Apparently, Ryan loves this store and thinks it is amazing. Well, it was pretty amazing. We got to taste a lot of food and treats, and it was nice to just walk around together and enjoy some quality time.

[keep in my that my camera died the week before we left for Vermont, so I didn't get many pictures this trip. I'm really bummed. But my husband is an amazing, wonderful man and remembered that and yes I got one for Christmas.]

Christmas morning, Zoie, Charlotte, Ryan, and I were up at 6am. Zoie was so excited to see her stocking full and presents for her. Zoie helped me get breakfast together. We made cinnamon rolls, eggs, and bacon for everyone. It was a delicious breakfast and very satisfying. Then we hung out the rest of the day waiting for the rest of family to arrive. When they showed up everyone was excited to see each other and open stockings and presents. Zoie loved it and helped pass presents to everyone, she also wanted to help open everyone presents.

Zoie loves all of her gifts and is so excited to play with them. Charlotte also loves her toys and enjoys putting everything in her mouth. Ryan and I also love our gifts and are putting them to good use.

This is the only picture I have of Christmas day, opening stockings

Temple Blocks

We had a Relief Society Super Saturday at the beginning of the December. One of the projects to make was a Temple Block. I've seen them around and really like them. I wanted to make one for our family and as Christmas gifts for some family members.

President Thomas S. Monson said that we should have a picture of a Temple in every room in our homes, so our children will grow up knowing what is most important. I love that and this is a good way to do so. Simple, easy, and elegant. Here is how they turned out. Have you made one before? Not pictured, Washington D.C. Temple and Boston, MA Temple.

This is the St. George Temple. Gave this to my sister, her husband and her were sealed there.

This is the Las Vegas Temple, where my husband and I were sealed.
