Birthday Breakfast
We gave Charlotte some powdered doughnuts for her birthday breakfast (with her banana, she was very insistent on having one). She loved them! She ate at least 4, I believe. That was just the start to her busy fun filled birthday!!! Happy Birthday Charlotte!
I asked her how old she was and this is what she did. You can kind of see her hand (sorry she was moving while I took it). But she seems to know how old she is. :)
Goose Egg
A few weeks ago, Zoie tripped over my legs and hit head first into our coffee table. It was so sad and within seconds of hitting her head, she had this huge black and purple goose egg! Poor girlie!

A Day at the Park
I took the girls to the park the other week for lunch and they had so much fun. Charlotte loved the swings and Zoie loved going down the slide and teaching Charlotte how to climb up the jungle gym. They have so much fun together. I just love it!

4th of July
I LOVE the 4th of July! We started the morning off by going to the church for a flag ceremony and to listen to a veteran talked about what it means to be an American. It was very good. Following the ceremony we had breakfast and cleaned the church.
Afterwards we came home and relaxed because it started to rain really hard. We ate some red, white, and blue cookies we made. Then went over to a friends house for a BBQ and to hang out. Afterwards, everyone came over to our house and we did some small simple fireworks and sparklers for the kids. It was a lot of fun. It was a great 4th of July despite all the rain!
It was much easier to get pictures of Charlotte, because she likes to sit still and smile for the camera, Zoie on the other hand, not so much. I did get pictures of her in her 4th of July Sunday outfit, but none on the 4th and she did look really cute. I promise. :) Enjoy

Charlotte's 1st Birthday
Charlotte turned the big 1!! I can't believe my little 6 pounder is now a 18 pounder one year old. Time has gone by so quickly. She has grown up so much and is the sweetest, most tolerant little girl I have ever known.
Charlotte has learned so much, most of it from her older sister! She is now walking like crazy. She can sign more, banana, all done, cheese, and sometimes cereal. She loves to be around her sister, to be outside, playing with her toys and mostly reading books.
For her birthday, we hung out most of the day and played with her balloons, read books, played with toys, went outside and played with balls and chalk. It was a lot of fun. We made flower cupcakes, skyped with Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Shelby, Uncle Brad, and Cousin Elliot. It was great and Charlotte loved it.
She loved all her toys and was very excited to play with them. She got "gear-action" caterpillar from Uncle Rob and Aunt Sarah. A vibrating, noise-making pig from Uncle Brad and Aunt Shelby. Some clothes, a toy pony, and books from Great Gma and Great Gpa. A finding Nemo bath toy from Grandma Marj and Poppa. A caterpillar tunnel from Mom, Dad, and Zoie. A jump-o-lene pool with 200 Fun Ballz to go with it from Grandma and Grandpa.
I think Miss Charlotte made out good with her birthday. Enjoy the pictures!!
