Ryan and I decorated the house the night before her birthday. We blew up a bunch of balloons, decorated her door with streamers, and put up a Happy Birthday Banner. She got up early, and Ryan had made her favorite breakfast, blueberry pancakes. She loved walking through the streamers and eating breakfast in her birthday chair (which was just decorated with balloons). After breakfast she opened her presents and was so excited. It took a while, because after each piece of wrapping she ripped off, she would run into the kitchen and throw it in the trash. Silly girl. She had a blast kicking the balloons all over the house.
She got a bunch of books and a baby from Papa and Grandma Marj Congdon. From Great-Ma she got crayons, coloring books, chalk, fruit snacks, glue sticks, scissors, and clothes. From Grandma & Grandpa she got a kitchen and clothes. From us, she got a bike and ladybug bike helmet.
We had a big dance party, went to volleyball practice, where my volleyball girls brought her Tye-dyed cupcakes, and a bucket full of candy and toys with little notes from each of them. She loved it! They got her some princess sunglasses and she walks around wearing them saying, "I'm cool." It's very funny.
After volleyball practice, we came home and had dinner. Zoie loves chicken and rice, so that's what I made. Then we rode her bike.Well I mostly just pushed her, she was to excited to do anything, except hang on tight.
She had so much fun today and I couldn't be more happy seeing her super happy. We love Zoie Bug so much and are excited for the adventure this next year brings.
